Prof. Dr. Mark Schuler
-- is the coordinator of the Northeast Church project
and a professor of theology and Greek at Concordia
University, Saint Paul, Minnesota. Prof. Schuler is a member of the American Schools
of Oriental Research, the American Institute of
Archaeology, and the Society of Biblical Literature, for
which he serves as the coordinator of the Upper Midwest
Region. |

Kristina Neumann --
2005 research assistant for the Northeast Church
Project, graduate of Concordia Mequon, winner of
the
Biblical Archaeology Review Scholarship, graduate
student at the University of Cincinnati, will
be the small finds registrar for the dig. |

Andrea Chandler --
is a
senior at Concordia Saint Paul in art education and will
serve as the excavation architect and surveyor. It
will be her third season! Scary! Why do you think
the first tropical storm of 2007 is named "Andrea"? |

Linda Miller --
mother of three with an M.A. in Theology from Concordia Irvine.
Linda works as a Director of Christian Education and
teaches for the local school district.
2007 is her third season. Linda will help supervise the excavation of the south
chambers. |

Jim Rogers -- a
pastor from St. Louis who returns to the excavation team
for a fifth season. Jim prides himself in his
ability to excavate floors. Jim will supervise the
east side probes. |

Dr. Arny Friend --
retired meteorologist for the USAF, farms in southern
Illinois. Arny is back for a third season.
The "Arny Net" traces its origin to his inspiration. |

Glenn Borchers, MS --
is a retired soil scientist, NRCS USDA. Glenn also
returns for a fifth season. His expertise in
soils and his knack for recovering spectacular finds
make him a valued member of the team. Glenn will
handle delicate excavation work. |

Susan Lestico --
returning excavator and graduate student in archaeology
at Trinity Deerfield. Susan will supervise
conservation work on the mosaics. |

basketball superstar and art student from Concordia
Saint Paul. Jess is an "illustrator in training." |

Matt Hewitt --
theology major (with an emphasis in archaeology) from

Recently retired flautist from the Melbourne Symphony
Orchestra, and tutor at The University of Melbourne. He
still teaches and performs at other institutions. Has
had a life long interest in history and archaeology.
