It was a challenging and exciting season!

Security Update

All students have now departed Israel.  So also have those adults who wished to be evacuated.  Eleven members of the team remain at Kibbutz Ein Gev, continuing Concordia's fifth season at Hippos.

6:50pm, 15 July
On Saturday, 15 July, Tiberias was hit twice by barrages of Katyusha rockets. Tiberias is located across the Sea of Galilee from the Hippos Excavations.

All students from the Concordia University team along with some adult volunteers were evacuated from Kibbutz Ein Gev to Jerusalem.  Flights home are being arranged at the earliest possible date.

3:48pm, 15 July
On Saturday afternoon, 15 July, three Katyusha rockets hit Tiberias.  Thankfully there were no casualties.

Dr. Mark Schuler has decided to evacuate all students south to Jerusalem today along with those adults who wish to leave.  Arrangements will then be made for students to fly home.
